Smoking is injurious to health

Hello all, I am a medico and seriously been wondering why do people smoke??? is it becoz of fashion or just to be cool, or to be with the peer groups.. I am seeing this as an oppurtunity to create awareness that smokers have increased risk of Bronchogenic Carcinoma, popularly known as lung cancer. Also there is high risk of Heart diseases, other cancers. Hypertension. When they know tat there are so many bad effects of it, then why do people smoke????
