Why are blondes always the subject of humor?

I just don't understand why the blondes are always the subject of humor. We don't have blondes in my country so I can't tell. Jokes about these lovely babes as stupid, careless, tacky, but sexy and hot, is all over in cartoons, newspapers, magazines and the internet. Isn't it unfair that we discriminate against blonde girls? -- Why do you think it is?

It was probably a coinsedence that built up and became almost a myth. (We should call myth busters to do a show on that LOL)Good question maybe someone knows!

From what I read and see in the movies, they portray blondes as dumb, stupid, cool, easy to convince but hot and normally sexy. I don't see by just having a light colored hair will make you dumb and sexy or hot...
