I know that with a war going on there is alot of arguing as to wether we should support the war or not , but wether you agree or disagree with the war why are the the people who signed up to fight and die for us ( wether they agree with the war or not) being bashed ?? It dosent make sense to me , Nobody forced anyof these men and women to sign up to join any of the armed forces but they did anyway and yet knowing they could go to war anytime they still did . And now that we are at war we are bashing them ? Can anyone make some sense of this to me ??

I don't see people bashing the troops nearly as much as I see them bashing the president for sending them to war. Now some of the troops after they get home have strong opinions about the war itself and express their feelings. I have some friends that believe what we are doing over there is right, and that is their opinion of course, but remember they are employed by our government and therefore obligated to do whatever they are called upon by our government. So when they come home and express their opinion it may anger or upset others.
For the most part though America is supportive of our troops overseas. Just last month a group of us got together to send a care package to another guys uncle who is over in Iraq. On the whole you'll find more Americans supporting our troops then bashing them.

I have a good friend of mine who just got home from Iraq. They sent his entire unit home due to combat fatigue after being overseas just 9 months. They were right in the middle of some nasty stuff out there. Somehow his unit managed to avoid casualties despite their mission. He is one that believes what we are doing over there is right. His entire career, practically his entire life has been spent serving in the Marine Corps. But again that is his opinion, and he is not afraid to express it when people ask him for it.

Sadly, I see this war turning into another Vietnam and everyone knows that was a fiasco and the way the troops were treated was horrible. My dad is a vet and still traumatized by, not only the war, but the way he was treated when he returned home. He wasn't drafted. He enlisted after high school (1965). I heard him talk about his time in the Marine Corps for the first time this summer when he was telling my son about being on the aircraft carriers and the jungles. My son is very interested in the military right now (he is 5).
I applaud the troops for doing their jobs, whether they believe in the reasons they are there or not. I wish I could do more.

Okay here is how it plays out with most americans I can not speak for everyone but we support are soldiers and feel bad for the families but no way are we going to support the war, just are soldiers and the people,so please understand when someone says they don't support the war in does not mean we don't support the people because we do we hope they make it home soon and all the fighting will be done.

I will be one of the first people to tell you I don't support the war. I can support our troops without supporting the president. I am prior service active duty Army & have the greatest respect for the men & women who serve our country. I know how hard it can be to VOLUNTEER for the service esp. during war time.

All Americans need to know one thing. What do you say about the HINDU FUNDAMENTALISTS living in your country. Please be careful about thier activities. They are anti-christian and anti-Americans, though they will not show it outside. In India they are beating up Christians everywhere. They want to do the same attacks on christian countries. If you leave them like that they are going to become a world threat much worst than islamic terrorists. In mylot itself you would get one lady with username achyuta basically a hindu fundamentalist, staying in America, and if possible read her topics. Please inform your authorities to have a watch on her activities.

No, I agree with you. We shouldn't be bashing the military men and women who fight for our freedom. Likewise I am not for those like Cindy Sheehan doing what she is doing. What does that do to our military morale. NO, it brings attention to her, and to her plight. I really loathe those type of people. Instead of bringing attention to herself she should be more proactive. I don't like her tactics at all! Our military don't get any kind of warm homecoming with the cameras thanks to THOSE types of people.

Most of my friends who went to war, did so with the purpose of fighting so that others did not had to. They really believed in protecting and defending and making that difference and dedicating themselves and even possibly dying to make this world a better place.
I may not support the wars, but I 100% back and support all our troops.
As far as losing points if someone deletes and account the post disapears, then points drop of all the discussions that left when they deleted their account do not take point drops personally they fluctuate all the time.

Whether we agree that we should or should not be in Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea or any other the other places we are right now is not the point. These soldiers went where they were ordered to go. If they don't go they face jail time or having to abandon their country and this war they can't escape to Canada because Canada is refusing them.
If you are against the war, blame the ones who sent them there, but our soldiers deserve our support. They are the ones whose lives are on the line and then they have to listen to people criticize them and blame them for following the orders that were given to them. It isn't like being a civilian where if you disagree with the boss you can just say "I quit". In the military, you are in until you die, are wounded to badly to stay in, or your contracted term of enlistment is finished.
