My PC browsing became too slow! any tips

hi Friends
i am facing this problem from a month, actually my PC browisng became very slow now a days, also it takes too much time to boot up and takes too much time to shut down, and always there are "dont send " like errors and " end now " problme arising! what happend actually can anyboday suggest some good tips:
my system configuartion is
p-4, intel orginal chipset, 256 DDR RAM 80 GB harddisk (2 cluster)...

Things to consider:
- check for viruses
- check for spyware
- run disk defragmentation utility
- check for disk drive errors
- reinstall your OS to correct errors (frequently, there's no need to format your drive or clean install, just reinstall it over your current configuration)

can you tell me more discriptevly what defragmentation means !! and what does it do

just run some software such as system mechanic and u'll get nack ur pc health

Using CCleaner to remove unused files, and defrag. For fast booting and fast shutdown, please using TuneXP. I using it. Totally FREE.

Hey,
Don't worry dude,just go to the booting menu,and format your system,after that it will properly work,and with the normal speed,as your system,would be havving some unused files.So,format it and make it work smoothly.
