I was just wondering, how many of us have a personal diary.I have one and I've been writing since I was in my teens. Now I'm in my mid-twenties, married, but still write what I feel. It definitely is personal since I write down my innermost thoughts and feelings.I change my diary every year so I can start afresh.I write anything ranging from what bothers me to what has made me happy or sad. i also make note of special events and moments in life.Do you write in your diary/journal? How often and for how long have u been writing?

I have been writing for quite some time. I write songs, poetry, articles, reviews. You should consider some writing sites. You can use a pen name, and if needed you can easily change the content to fit into a genre and make a little extra money on the side.

I write in a journal whenever I can - usually when I'm upset about something. I also have a prayer journal and gratitude journal. I don't write in them as often as I should. I also have journals for my kids about the funny things they say and the events that happen in their life so they can enjoy them when they grow up. I have kept all my journals since I was a teenager (I am now in my 40's) and I am also a write of poems, short stories, and novels. I just love to write - real or imagined.

I also want to start a journal/diary for my baby so that he will have a record of what happened to him during the time when he still doesn't have memories yet. Unfortunately I don't like writing that much. I am starting a scrap book though and am just making sure that I add personal notes of the pictures.

I've tried multiple times to start a personal diary and after a few days I stop keeping up with it. I never really know what to write or put it off until I forget. I've always thought it was so neat how some people have books on top of books of filled journals! That is such a cool thing to have to look back on and I envy people that can actually keep them going. :P

2007 Planner - 2007 Daily Planner
Same here. I'd start excitingly with a diary and will end up lazy after a few weeks or days. But I do have a planner. I always want to write down my schedule and look back at what I've done and which ones I wasn't able to do. I actually just prepared my 2007 planner today.

I've had so many online journals I can't even keep track of them. I changed them so many times. I always got tired of writing in them or I wanted to change the name, so I seriously have about 10 different journals. I just stopped writing in my most recent one and will probably make a new one and start again when I feel like it... I'm a complicated person...

I'm 35, and I still keep a daily personal diary, it helps me to remember things, I can be quite forgetful and its good to look back, to remember and cherish the great things you've done in the past and also it helps you to remember the lessons you haven learnt and it records your personal experiences so when you get old you can fondly look back. I have kept a diary virtually all the time since I left school, sadly some of the diaries got lost but I still continue and I have records of my life from ten years ago. My main worry is that they could get lost, or worst fall into the wrong hands!

Ya that is a concern. I haven't kept my old idaries for the same reason, I've destroyed them. Since they are personal its best to keep them locked away somewhere or to get rid of them if you don't want to risk it.

I used to have one but I have stopped and for some reason I just can't seem to get myself started again. I had ALOT of journals growing up and the sad thing is that one day I just up and threw everything away.. deleted most of my online journals.. now I would give ANYTHING to have them back because they document the period of time that I was with my boyfriend when we were still long-distance..

I don't have any personal diary. I was asked many times to make personal diary when i was in school. Now when i am in college i have been asked again to make a daily learning diary but i am not doing so. I didn't feel anything important to have that. Sometime i do think that i should have my personal diary but then i lost my path.

I used to for years. And I loved writing in it. And I write horribly badly and slowly and all that, but I still did one by hand. Up until it got me in huge trouble. And I've never kept a journal again after that.

I used to have a diary. But since I have been living with my boyfriend I sorta forgot about keeping a diary. I think i should start writing my feelings down again at least if not in a diary in poetry which I used to like to write so much.

I have kept a diary since Jr. High, and I am now 37. I love to go back sometimes and read through important times in my life, or just the day to day years ago. I actually have two now. One I keep by my bed for my hubby to read when i am not looking, and the real one, put away. It's fun because I can put all kinds of nice things about him in the one I keep out, and he is so sweet after. I always know when he's peeked, because he gets real sweet. Sometimes I'll put something in I know he will want to ask me about, and he'll dance around trying to think of a way, but can't because then he would reveal he's peeking..lol

Lol..very clever of you to do that.;)Poor hubby..but its fun!Maybe I should do this too, that way my hubby's curiousity is satisfied and at the same time he doesn't know what I'm actually feeling..not in a bad way, but the good way:)

exactly, it's not that I ahve anything to hide from him, but those are my personal feelings and thoughts meant only for me. I right silly stuff sometimes, and just stuff thats mine. We all need something that's just "ours" I think. It is funny sometimes to watch him though...
