How can a Discussion "Share Your Jokes here" is termed as a Top discussion?

I am not complaining or criticising, am juz curious to know on what basis do they slelect these kind of discussions as Today's Top Discussions. This isn't first time i am seeing this , i have seen the same practice of selecting JOKES as today's top discussions 5...6 times.

Well, I don't think they are bad. I actually like to read them! A little levity is a good thing! maybe you should read a few????? :-)
