abortion?

Ok here is good discussion. PLease no insults, just want people opinion on this? what are your beliefs of abortion\? should it be banned or no?
My opinion it should be banned. i think its a sorry way out because people are not ready to be parents. They could be exceptions to that rule in case of a rape case, but other than that it should be banned. Im sorry if you are not responsible to be a parent or financially cant support a baby then both parents shouldnt open their legs. it a sorry way out. there are other methods like giving the baby up for adoption. and they need to change the law, for instant, it ok for the woman to kill thier baby but if someone kill a pregnant woman that person could be charged double murder. What the difference in that??

Have you ever been in that situation? If no, then you shouldn't say whether abortion is right or wrong. I had an abortion when I was 18. I had just started college and never ever thought I would be in that situation. I had a boyfriend of 2 years, and I just knew that there was no way I could have raised a child the way I would want to being that young. Yes, I was taking birth control, but it happened anyway. I'm 24 now and just graduated with a Master's degree. I would've never been able to be where I am now, if I would've had that child.

Well I think that abortion should be pro choice. That is probably not the most ethical thing but that is how I feel.

I am pro choice. I don't think I could ever have an abortion, but I believe it should be an option that is available. I cannot imagine forcing a woman to have a child she doesn't want, especially considering how many kids are already being abused every day. And to think of the child being given up and living its life being bounced from one foster home to another, and sometimes being abused by the foster parents...it's just not right.

I have been in that situation and I was pro-life before I got pregnant and had my son at 16. I finished my GCSE's, got my A-levels and degree and completed post-graduate training. So you would be able to be where you are now. Fair enough if you think you couldn't have raised it how you would have liked but there are plenty of childless couples who could have done. Not condemning you, just pointing out that there ARE people who have been in your situation who have taken the other option and not regretted it and that abortion isn't the only choice.

I think that abortion should be banned also. I think that the only acceptable way of having an abortion is if the mother's life is in danger. Any other reasons like; your not ready, it was a mistake, you can't afford a child right now, etc; should just give their child up for adoption. It is not right to take a life away from something that is defenseless and had no say so.

I dont think abortions should be banned.A woman may not be ready for be a mother yet or there could be health problems to where she can not have the child.I think it is her choice

i do not think that it should be banned, it is the womans choice, not the governments. there are so many circumstances that need to be looked at.

na. i think its better to abort a child than make his/her life misrable by giving birth.if the father refuses to take resposibility for any reason and the mother cant do it on her own what do u suggest she should do?

well, if you think there are expections, you shouldn't want to ban it. i am pro-choice, meaning i believe that the mother has the right to decide, there are always exceptions, one is danger to the mother. i think there should be just stricter restrictions for when getting an abortion to keep those who just think abortion is a way of birth control. they should review the reason why they are having the abortion and keep a record on how many times they have it. my sister had an abortion and didn't tell any of us. i don't even think my mom knows. then she had lost the next baby, and now she has a beautiful healthy baby boy. if she had the first child, she wouldn't be where she is today. for her, it was the right desision, and she doesn't look back.

i dont really believe in abortion only if you have been raped i believe that you can give adoption or find someone in the family i could never let go of something because the first time laying eyes on the baby you wouldlove it so much so i dont believe in it and for the people that does raise the babys that was raped and find a father for the baby then they are really special.

I do believe in some cases that abortion is necessary such as in a situation where the life of the mother is in danger. And abortion, should it be done in rape cases should be done before the fetus fully develops into a complete but unborn child.

I do not think It should be banned it helps many unwanted children that will be abandoned and uncared for. Not only that but many adopted kids get abused and many unwanted babies get literally flushed down the toilet and thrown in garbage cans. I think abortions are very helpful.

I do not agree with the ban on Abortion, as Abortion has to be there for unwanted child or accidential pregnancy....if i am saying i support this it means I am considering those young teens who are unfotunately pregnant not by choice but by mistake.
