Did u ever try to put a message in a bottle and give it to the sea?
Did u ever find a message in a bottle?
[..] A year has passed since I wrote my note
But I should have known this right from the start
Only hope can keep me together
Love can mend your life but
Love can break your heart ...[...]
Walked out this morning, dont believe what I saw
Hundred billion bottles washed up on the shore
Seems Im not alone at being alone
Hundred billion castaways, looking for a home
message in a bottle - the police

I have never put a message in a bottle, nor have I found one.
One time a group of us put messages on ballons and asked if anyone found them to write us back. And about half of the people got messages back. It was really cool to see where they ended up and who found them.

aimee....some children here in Portugal just sent some baloons flying away with messages of peace and love. Don't know if they put a return address in them or not. It was on the news here. Maybe if by some change some do send answers the TV station will give us an update. Nice idea I thought.

There is a website where you can put a message in a bottle and throw it into internet land and a random someone else picks it up . You also can get messages in a bottle from other people who have sent them. its fun

When I was a kid and spent a couple of weeks on the coast of my home state Maine I and some of my friends sent a few bottles out to sea. I never heard from my friends that they had received any answers. I have been gone from there over 50 years so there is no way that I could be contacted even if someone did find the bottle.
I do remember seeing bottles washed up on the shore but there were never any messages in it. I think it would be fun to respond.
I recently saw a movie with Kevin Kostner and Paul Newman about messages in a bottle. It was a beautiful love story but I didn't like the ending...although I suppose it was the only way it could end to make any sense. The title of the movie was "Message in a Bottle".
