What was the saddest thing you saw today?

And why did you find it so sad?
I was driving yesterday and in the middle of the road I saw a little dog that had been run over, but no one had bothered to move it out of the middle of the road. I pulled over and approached it, and I realised it was immaculately groomed, wearing a little dog coat, and had a little metal tag with 'Missy' on it. I nearly died from sadness. Someone really, really loved this dog, and because the tag had a phone number, I knew I had to call the family and let them know their dog was dead.
It was just a horrible, traumatic experience...

thank goodness, my day was great... i went to the mall with my family and then went to church. i know this discussion of yours was still a month ago but still i just want to say sorry for that sad day you had...
hope things are better now...
what happened to the dog's owner anyway?

Well I called them on my mobile, and a lady answered, who was devastated. I could hear kids in the background. She thanked me for my concern, asked where the body was, and said she would come and get it, to bury it.
However, I couldn't bring myself to leave the dog on the side of a busy road, and I waited until she got there. She was very greatful, but it was just a terrible experience.

I was out today driving, and I saw a 5 car crash. Cars flipped over. It was horrific. The ambulances came to get everyone out and to the hospital.
