let say you saw an envelop in a taxi?and when you open it it was big amount of money. what will you do? will you take it?give to hte poor people or let the owner know that the money is in your hand?

First of all i never touch any thing on road or anywhere on taxis etc,even if i came to know there is money in that envelope,i would leave it as such and would not touch it as owner would search for it only at the place he/she had left it,and he/she would find it if and only if i dont pick it from there.

If the owner of the $ was still there, I would definately give it back to them. I would not give it to the driver or the poor. I'm trying to pay off debt right now and if there wasn't any chance of finding the owner, I would just apply it to my debt payment.

i will search for the owner,and then if i dont find i would give the money for the needy.

I had a bad experience with this once. I was in a gas station and I saw a wad of money lying beside the cash register lying amidst some other items; an energy drink, a bag of chips and some candy. I thought for sure that it belonged to someone who had stepped out of line but by the time I got to the front of the line I was the only person left in the store. It was around $85. I thought I was doing the right thing by handing it to the counter clerk. I though for sure she would put it in the safe and return it when someone came in looking for it but she put it in her pocket! So much for trying to do the right thing.
