Yeah I went to thailand for a month this year. A month was not long enough! I miss Thailand so much, the shopping (especially the night markets), the people, the culture, the atmousphere. Everything! I flew into Bangkok and stayed there for about 5 days, probably too long to stay in Bangkok but nevermind. Then I headed North on the night train to Chiang Mai which is so much nicer than Bangkok. We went on various trips out of Chiang Mai but every time we came back we stayd at Julie's Guesthouse; THE friendliest Guesthouse you'll ever come across. The main dude on reception is called Coco and he was AWESOME! They're also a travel company so you can arrange all your trips through them and wont get ripped off like you do at a lot of Travel Companies in Thialand. We did the 3 day trek in the jungle, visiting hill tribes, elephant riding, bamboo rafting, sleeping in bamboo huts with 12 people! It was the best!! The walking was VERY tough, I didn't think I'd make it, but all in all the experience was unbelievable. We also visited Pai, a seriously relaxed and chilled out town with a great music and arts scene. We stayed in tiny bamboo huts for £1 a night. They were so cool! When we went back to Bangkok we went to see an award winning Thai Theatre production with traditional dancing and mythological stories. It was STUNNING! And there were Elephants and chickens and goats on the stage!! Unbelievable. I have so much more I could ramble on about but I'll shut up now!:) Thailand is amazing, go there if you havn't already! I'll definately be going back.

I went four years ago now, absolutely beautiful country. Many diffenrent places to see with some extreme differences from the mad hussle and Bustle of Bangkok to some of the calming beach resorts. Would definately recommend going - it isn't called the land of smiles for no reason!

I've been there once too~ I love to go there again. It's a rich culture country. I love to see their buddhish temples and the markets. Market; There is tons of market even in the capital city. They have specially for flowers, food, craft etc. Weekend market in Bangkok is the most famous among them all. One need to spend two full day in order to browse all of the stalls. You can find almost anything there. The price is resonable. Some said Northen Thai has much cheaper goods, but it's far away. I've bought clothes limited edition from a designer stalls. I weared it till today.

I have been to the hill tribe villages in Northern Thailand Chiang Rai province. Despite their poverty, the villagers lead simple lifestyles and ask for little, they have to brave the winter cold, walk miles barefeet to school, and and paid little for working hard in the rice fields. But their sincerity and hospitality were from their heart and was truly touching. I am grateful for the experiences they have given me while I was their guest.

I've been to Bangkok. It's a food and shopping paradise. The people are generally gentle and nice. The food is sour, spicy and delicious. There are many night markets. The souvenirs are cheap too though you have to bargain for the price. I don't speak their language so we use a calculator to bargain. However, there are too many temples in the city and I feel a bit uneasy.
