I live in Indonesia, we have so many memorial places. I can mention 5 of that as below : 1.Borobudur Temple 2.Prambanan Temple 3. Monumen Nasional (Monas) 4. Tampak Siring palace 5. Tanah Lot temple etc.

We have many places that are beautiful here, if that's what you mean.. 1) Mayon Volcano 2) Banaue Rice Terraces 3) Chocolate Hills 4) Boracay Beaches 5) The Hundred Islands

1. Sigiriya - A fortress built on a natural rock by King Kasiappa, who killed his father, to escape his Brother Mugalan 2. The Galle Fort - Built by our rulers, just by the sea. 3. Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Kandy - Situated in the hill country, the tooth of the Buddah is kept here in a casket and is paraged annually in a world famous pageant called the "Esala Perehera" 4. Pinnawala, Elephant Orphanage - Housing thousands of elepahnts who are well looked after. 5. Haggala Gardens - The beautiful botanical garden in Nuwara Eliya in the center of the country, much higher than sea level. None of the above are memorials built for someone. But the places are wonderful anyway.

Oh yes, I have wanted to visit the Tajmahal since the first time I ever saw a photo of it. Beautiful. In the United States, most people want to see the Grand Canyon, Hollywood, Las Vegas (casinos, nightlife), Empire State Building, Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
