Complex Love

Here's a personal problem I'm facing....I need you people to provide me some suggestions, but i'll not use names for reasons I hope you'll understand. A(male) loves B(female). B knows how A feels, but is more attracted to C(male), who is A's best friend. C doesn't have any such feelings for B, and has communicated this to both A and B. Still B keeps up her efforts with C and tries to avoid A, though she doesn't actually dislike A. Now, there's another complication because C loves D(female), who is B's best friend and reciprocates D's love. B and D both know about each other's feelings, but in a bid to keep their friendship from breaking up into pieces, they prefer not to talk to each other about this particular issue. What should A do in such a situation?

WOW! you are putting the discussion with A,B,C and D until i was blur...but it's simple, if B doesnt like A, then what's the point of complicating things further by still thinking of pursuing the relationship? just be together as very close friends, if not, he will find that he wont be happy at all. Good Luck!

But isn't B's course of action fruitless too? Wouldn't she do better to get to know more about A? And shouldn't A try to take things to such an end?

but B is not interested in A, she's interested in D. as i'm seeing that all of them are best friends to each other...i feel that it's better for A to take a step backwards and continue to be good friends...or risk ruining the friendship for all of them if they persisted.
