virus is program written intentionally to harm your files/folders.Once a virus infects your computer it can spread automatically.viruses can corrupt your program files as well as system files. Spyware on the other hand does not do any damage but secretly monitors your activities and can record keystrokes for passwords,bank account no's,etc.spywares can slow down your net connection.
