Caffeine can be very helpful. Also, a cool compress on the forehead or a hot bath are soothing.
For me personally much of my tension lands in my shoulder blades and if my husband rubs my shoulders it can help relax a headache.

Depending on how severe the headache is depends on what I do for it. If it's just mild, I usally try to eat a little something (headaches often come from low blood sugar) and lay down for a bit. If It doesn't go away or gets worse, I take Advil or Motrin and drink lots of water.

I've heard two remedies. One is to rub lime on your forehead, but I have never tried it. The other is to put a cool pack on your forehead. Most of the time headaches are due to some sort of swelling, so you can use ice to reduce the swelling, therefore curing your headache.

You have asked the right person.
1. Get in a hot shower with a cold washcloth on your head. Plug the drain so the hot water accumulates at your feet. Another version is to put your feet in a bucket of hot water with the cold cloth on your forehead. This draws the pain down and sends the engery out of your feet. (do NOT do this if pregnant or menstruating, you could miscarry or it will make your flow heavier)
2. Use a product called migrastick. It is a liquid that has peppermint oil. Rub it across your forehead.
3. Use an ice pack or heatable bean bag type item, which ever feels better to you.
4. Three excedrin with a Dr.Pepper
5. Find a neurologist (if it becomes chronic)
