Illinois is a proud state in the heart of the USA. The center of most of the railroad lines in North America, Illinois has become quite the melting pot of individuals.
Home state of Abraham Lincoln and one of the few states that are divided between Northern and Southern mindsets.
Constantly labelled a "blue" state because of the dominance of the Chicago Democrats.
The city of Chicago boasts a proud history of the 1982 World's Fair. Thie historic event brought us the creation of the Ferris Wheel (built to rival the Eiffel Tower), Cream of Wheat and Pabst Blue Ribbon beer.
The original Ferris wheel was taller than than the Eiffel tower and had train cars that each held over 100 people for each of the cars.
Chicago also discovered how to build skyscrapers and thus has created the best skyline I've ever seen!
Share some of the magic of Illinois!

Well I am from the suburbs of chicago and I loved visiting navy pier. My uncle lives downtown so whenever I go visit him he always takes me somewhere. Everyone should try to visit the Winter Wonderland in Navy Pier. I first went when I was probably like 14 or 15 and I loved it. Everything there is so beautiful and they have like little attracions for younger kids also so it is a great family thing to do. They have ice skating to I remember that and I don't know if it would still be there but they have this rock climbing thing it is for the younger kids but it is really great!!!
