Probably someone has posted on this already, but I want to know why so many people hate gays. Most seem to base this on their religion.
We have a lot of people from around the world on mylot and from many different religions. Can someone tell me why people hate gaysf?

I don't hate gays, I try not to hate anyone or anything. I am a Christian and God does not hate them either. I even have gay friends in my church. My Pastor loves them too. Not everyone hates them.

nope, he doesn't hate gay guys. he made them and god loves all his children. people hate gays because....basiclly, their stupid and igornant and cant accept people different then them. its the same between whites and almost every other race in the world. for some reason, they thought they were supieror...better then the rest...people grow, change, and begin to accept those different from them.

GOD DOES NOT HATE ANYONE BECAUSE WE ARE ALL HIS CHILDREN. HE LOVES US EQUALLY EVEN IF SOMEONE IS A GAY! THAT'S HOW HE MADE HIM AND HIS MIND!

Thanks for writing.
I don't know why people hate and fear gays. Gay marriage is very much in the news right now for example.
When I hear people talk about equal rights marriage they seem to feel that having two men or two women make a committment to each other will destroy western civilization or at least destroy marriage.
It doesn't make sense. Is the institution of marriage
that fragile? I don't think having gays marry would change my mind about getting married- so why would it destroy marriage?
Would religious people stop marrying if gays could also marry?
It would be up to each church to decide to marry gays or not, so why the fuss about gays being able to legally marry?
All this hate and fear must stop. We should treat each other as we wish to be treated.
