she's your ex. she's a part of your life somehow. so, i hope you can find time to visit her. she needs strength from people who are strong like you. be strong for her. and be there for her. be a friend. she really needs people like you.

the problem is things went really bad when we broke up..i dont want to open emotional wounds ontop of her cancer

I have had the misfortune of watching others go thru this(including my bro and his ex last year)and found that honesty is important.Ask your ex what they would like.Maybe they will need the support or not.Let them decide IF you can handle the decision.(are you up to supporting them or would it feel false).

I would try to offer what you can, if she refuses it, at least you will know you tried and wont have to wonder if i could of done anything to help her
