Adam and Steve and other bumper sticker arguments . . .

I just felt like venting about a pet peeve:
I hate it when people use slogans that look like they've come off bumper stickers in place of a decent argument.
Someone else thought up whatever cutesy, rhyming phrase they're appropriating. Most of us have already seen it way too many times, and there are usually plenty of well thought out counter arguments.
I don't even like the ones that support views that I hold. I'm pro-choice, but I don't like to see the pro-choice stance, argued 2nd hand through someone else's dated slogan.
Maybe I got out of the wrong side of the bed today.

The problem with getting an intellegent discussion on any subject is that it seems most people can only repeat what they have read or heard. This is because they are usually too lazy to do the research required to give original input to the conversation.
