Are you supposed to have snow for Christmas this year? I live in NW Pennsylvania and for the first time in a long time we are supposed to have a brown Christmas! Doesn't hurt my feelings a bit, but kids getting sleds for Christmas may not be too happy.

Yeh, you get pretty much what we throw at you, don't you? We live in NW
PA. It has been pretty mild for this close to Christmas for sure.

Sorry you will have a brown Christmas snow. We don't have snow where I live either. It's also brown. But the lights are all up around everyone's homes and the cacti, so it's pretty anyway. Merry Christmas dear.

Yeh, I love the desert, but I do miss the snow. However, did you know that Jesus was not born in December when it was snowing?

No snow in Aussie land, only drought and bushfires and some weird weather all up! Would love to see some snow though as have never had the pleasure.

We live in northwestern Wisconsin. We have has a white Christmas for as long as I can remember. As of this morning we are still hoping to get some snow. Even a dusting would be nice. Today we are looking at getting rain, turning to ice, then possibly some snow tomorrow. So we will have to keep our fingers crossed.

Well I hope you get your snow then, that is better than the ice! I wouldn't mind a little for Christmas for the kids, but then it can go! hehehehee I'm getting old I guess.

Snow is precipitation in the form of crystalline water ice, consisting of a multitude of snowflakes. Since it is composed of small rough particles it is a granular material. It has an open and therefore soft structure, unless packed by external pressure.

Yeah I think we know that information. That isn't even what this discussion is about. Please stick to the topic of the discussion. Thank you

I really don't think we will have a White Christmas this year. I don't mind at all, but the kids are hoping for some snow. My grandson tells me that he really wants some snow to play in an slide in and make snowballs. I just smile. Remember a time when having snow was important to us too?

Everyone seems to be having a brown Christmas except for Colorado! They are getting enough for all of us! I don't really care for it, but my grandkids like it and I like to see them having fun in it. I was never one for winter, not even as a child. Don't know why I had to be born in PA?
