Would you live in the UK?

December 20, 2006 8:04pm CST
I am English and proud of it, I am also proud to live here despite everything going on here at the moment. But I would be interested to hear some global thoughts on what you think it would be like to live in the UK and any thoughts on us Brits. If you are already in the UK still give us your verdict on my Homeland.

Great that you are proud of your contry, what matters is are you proud to be a human, because that is what you are before being British. Are you really proud of people like Blair? Are you proud that the world thinks that your country is nothing but a lackey to America and your PM the American president butler's butler? Grow up son, your country has a history of looting and raping, racism, oppression, atrocities as bad if not worse as Hitler's (The Kohinoor Diamond, The Jalianwalla Bagh massacare to name just a cpouple), Except for Newton and Shakespeare, your country has contruibuted zilch (and of course this language-L'angleterre, which if dear ole Bernard Shaw is to be believed is no longer English, but then who cares for an Irishman's opinion, you are gonna kill them all on some pretext or the other aren't you?)

Well tarachand those are very harsh words you have put in here and I would say TallSteve did not deserve that response. As for coming down under, don't bother, we have no tolerance for people like you! Best to stay where you are!

It is a nice feeling to be proud of your own country TallSteve, as I am of Australia. I think it would be a very interesting place as I have family and friends who have lived there for awhile and spoke very highly of their time there. As for me living there, probably not as I am one to suffer from homesickness so will stay in my comfort zone!
