Nosy Neighbor: Do You Have One?

I have this neighbor who spends most of the day chatting or playing cards in another neighbor's house. She's a housewife. Well, I don't really care how she spends her day. What annoys me is the fact that I sometimes catch her looking at our house to see if someone's at home. No, she's not a thief. She's just plain nosy. And when she sees other people walking and going somewhere, she always asks them where they are going and why. She would even follow them with her eyes.
But there are times also that I appreciate her nosiness. These are the times when no one's at home. At least aside from our dogs, I know someone else is watching our house. And that makes it harder for thieves to steal from us. Haha! :)

I don't have any nosey neighbors. We have become really good friends with a couple of our neighbors though. When we are gone they will watch the house for us and get our mail. I really appreciate it when they do that for us and we do the same thing for them.

I have really good neighbours , we all watch over each others houses but do not just walk in and out as we please , I hold keys for some in case they lock themselves out , and used to feed their plants when they were on holiday , it is a nice neighbourhood here xx

Hahahaha....
I have a nosy neighbor, too, and everytime I see her coming to our house I lose my mood. You see, she has this habit of taking a peek inside our house to see if things are in order, if the sala is clean, if the kitchen sink is clean, and things like that. Then she would make a little chat with my mother and then when she is talking to other neigbors she would tell them what a mess our house is! Gosh! She really pisses me sometimes. But sometimes I appreciate her nosiness, too. Sometimes, when we need help we could call on her and she'd be there for us like a good neighbor. And when she needs something, she calls on us, too. I just don't like the way she takes a peek at the corners of our house to see if it was cleaned and talking negatively behind our backs.

I do have one! But I don't mind them. As long as I'm happy with my life, I don't care. And as long as I'm not doing anything wrong. I don't care. Oh yeah! My uncle's wife is just like that! As in she adds infos about things that are so simple. Just to make the conversation long. Like when I didn't come home 1 night, she told my relatives I ran away from home and I'm pregnant again! My Gosh! But the truth is I just slept at my friend's house. And my parents knew it. I just hate her!

i have. in fact all my neighbors are nosy! they check out the things i have at home, ask how much and where i bought it and buy for themselves. positive thing: is that i wont have any troubles with neighbors who borrow things up, after all they already have all what i have. lol

Yes i did experience that! I also have a nosy neighbor. the weird thing is at morning, its like no one is at home but when night time comes, they start to populate inside the house! music so loud, doors banging, children crying and old men having discussions. its always like this. we tried to talk to them and complain but it has always been like that since then

I guess every neighborhood has them. A neigborhood just can't be complete if there are no nosy neighbors around, looking into everyone else business, minding other's problem. Our community has lots of em, always hanging around the small stores, or just sitting outside with their noisy children chatting from the break of dawn to midnight. When they see you come out of the house their eyes follow you like a hawk, and when you're gone they start chattering about you. There are times when I just can't stand them, looking at you from head to foot, smirking, who knows what they're thinking? But as you said, at least someone's nosy enough to watch your house when no one's around, actually, they are better than spy cameras. Hah!
