You need to find an LLMD Dr who specializes in lyme. I have had and it is chronic, but I have gotten better w/treatment. Find a Dr who is close to your state. I have one in MO.

I was diagnosed with Lyme disease back in 1991. I remember being on antibiotics for at least a month. I believe it was doxycycline. Mine went undiagnosed for a long time because most doctors around here didn't think it was possible to get it. By the way, I live in New York. I still have lots of problems with this, mostly joint pain related. I hope your son is doing well now.

How is your son doing now? Is he on abx? I was just diagnosed with Lyme less than a week ago. Although I tested IgM positive, I believe that I've actually had it for some time.. that it's been a persistent infection. I'm currently just on Amoxicillin, though. About 4,000 mg a day. It's really a pain in the rear taking that, the supplements, the probiotics, etc.. I wish your son well!
