Why do people keep starting discussions that have already been posted

i am so sick of browsing through the discussions to find so many of the same subject!
subjects that i am always coming across are
- birth control, contraception
- abortion
- and earn money links
I can understand posting them but people should read to see if anyone else has added that topic if so just had on to the discussion, i don't want to be answering the same questions over and over.

You're topic is also one of it, there are many similar discussions regarding their topic but in fairness they have different points of view. Don't get me wrong coz i did it also before.....:)

It is probably that there are so many members on MyLot now that it is getting more difficult to think of some interesting topics for discussion. Like you say, they come up with an idea and never bother to check to see if the topic has already been discussed. On the other hand, they may be just lazy and decide to use a topic that has already been discussed. I too am sick of the amount of topics on 'How to Make Money Online'. I don't think these topics encourage a great amount of responses.
