I think it should mainly be books at an early age because they might get used to the computer which might not be right. But yes later a combination of books and computers would be the best.
I think both it depends on the childs age. I know a little 6 year old he loves computers. Then again my 4 year old neice loves books. So i think it can work either way.
In a way both are preferable for kids. I think computers are more up to date then books are though as far as looking something up about something kids need to learn about.
