Aside from loneliness, it is a deep feeling of emptiness, abandonment. Do you celebrate Christmas? Sadness is the feeling that i feel when i am pretty upset on somebody or that i remember some not good things i have done in my life, sadness for me especially represents the memories from my past in which i haven't did good things. Good luck!
