Is islam related to christianity?

Both Islam and Christianity are monotheistic religions. They believe in one God.

Yea, man you got it write... the only different between us are these.. 1.Chris. belive jesus is son of GOD and hence GOD Mus. belive GOD is GOD and jesus and mohammad are prophets.. 2. Mus. belive mohammad is the last prophet of GOD Chris. dont belive in mohammad the rest are all small things that some how creep in from the above two changes.... like MUSL. dont belive in idol worship, I dont know abt CHris. but they practice the same with JEsus..

We all are from the same root. And yes we all are the sons and daughters of Adam.Judaism, Chirstanity,Islam, all are sequential.they came one after another to coplete the devine blessings of the almighty to us.As textbooks for students changes from time to time for adding new information, Holy books(Like Torah,Bible)also changed with the prophets.That does not mean the content of them are incorrect.In this process the Koran is the last or final revalation and it is for every one.

It is true that Jesus is mentioned in Quran as a prophet..and most of the old testement of the Bible is there in the Quran too..

Judaism, Christianity and Islam are all related to each other. As you know, Abraham had two sons, Isaac and Ishmail. The descendants of Abraham through Isaac are Israelites. And God chose Israel over all other nations in the past. Therefore, most of the Prophets and Messengers were sent to the Israelites. But if you read the Bible in Genesis 16-17 God had promissed Abraham to make Ishmael a great nation. So the descendants of Ishmael are the Arabs. And God sent the Last and the Final Prophet to making through the Arabs, i.e. Prophet Muhammad (saw). None of the Prophets in which the Jews and Christians believe taught them Christianity or Judaism. The word Judaism is nowhere in Torah and the word Christianity is nowhere in the Bible. All of them taught Islam, which means Submission to God. That's a brief answer.
