Mother gives baby Vodka

A mother of a ten month old baby showed up at a local hospital because she noticed something one wrong with her baby. She later found out that 3 ounces of Vodka was in her baby's system. Her boyfriend dropped them off and kept going. She said she gave the baby a bottle. As it turned out the bottle contained Vodka but she stated that she did not know it. Since she fed the baby in the car, its poissible that her boyfriend could have poured Vodka in the bottle since you can't have open containers of alcohol in the car. She says she thought it was water. Her baby became unresponsive and that is when she decided to take him to the hospital.The effects of the alcohol on the baby's body will be unknown until it wears off. Do you think the mother knew that Vodka was in the bottle? Can you smell Vodka? Should the boyfriend be punished?

Most people can not smell vodka and no mother would expect a baby's bottle to have vodka in it. If it was her boyfriend who put it in, he should have told her. Well, he shouldn't have done it in the first place. So yes he should be punished because he knwingly endangered the child's life. What an idiot he must be to do such a thing. I expect the mother did believe it was just water. She would have had no reason to think otherwise.
