Love letters are intended to express your innermost feelings for another person. They are much more intimate and personal than an email or a fond message left on an answering machine.
A love letter is often used to move a relationship to the next level of intimacy. They are of extreme use to people who have trouble expressing their feelings verbally or are too shy to say what they mean to the loved one face to face. A love letter can also help lift a load from your face as well as spare you a rejection or giggles from the object of your affections.

Clear your desk and your mind of distractions. If you love someone enough to craft this letter, he or she deserves your full attention.
2. Place a picture of the one you love in front of you.
3. Put on your favorite music.
4. Take out your best letter writing stationery and pen.
5. On another sheet of letter paper, make two lists: a) the unique qualities you love about him/her; b) your hopes for the future together.
6. Personalize the love letter salutation. "Dear ___ ," or "To my darling _____," are both fine.
7. In the body of the love letter, begin by telling him/her what you think makes him/her so special. List at least three different qualities of the one you love in the letter, ideally emotional, physical, and spiritual ones.
8. In the following paragraph of your love letter, share your hopes and dreams for the future you can have together.
9. Personalize the closing of the letter. "I will love you always," "Loving you forever," "My heart is yours," are all good possibilities.
10. Don't forget to sign your love letter!
11. Spray the love letter with a light fragrance.
12. Address, seal, and stamp the love letter.
13. Wait a day before you send your love letter; you may change your mind.
14. Drop the love letter in the mail, and look forward to the response.
Tips:
Don't mention anyone else but yourself and the addressee in the love letter.
Make sure you only send a love letter to someone who will appreciate it.
Pick out a special stamp for your love letter at the post office.
Another tips...
Instructions
STEP 1: Select stationery appropriate to your personality and sentiment. Decide whether you prefer torn-out notebook paper, perfumed sheets covered with flowers, or elegant note cards. STEP 2: Determine the letter's purpose. Are you writing to tell your longtime love that you miss him or her, or initiating contact with someone you don't know very well? STEP 3: Date your letter for posterity's sake. STEP 4: Begin with Dear, Dearest, Beloved or My Precious or whatever endearment or salutation feels appropriate for the depth of your relationship. STEP 5: Be sure to thank your lover if you're responding to a letter, and mention the number of times you've reread it. Flatter your lover by repeating a couple of choice phrases he or she used. STEP 6: Describe how your loved one makes you feel. Try to be original, but put sincerity ahead of creativity. The purpose of the letter is to express your feelings, not to stun your partner with a brilliant metaphor. STEP 7: Mention his or her adorable traits. Bring up specific qualities or idiosyncrasies you appreciate. Be sparing with references to eyes and smiles, which can seem forced or clichéd, and try not to get melodramatic. STEP 8: Recall your past times together and describe your hopes for the future. STEP 9: Close with an exhortation to write back quickly, a mention of the next time you expect to see each other, or another appropriate comment. STEP 10: Affix a proper valediction - "Sincerely," "Love" or "Feverishly Awaiting Your Letter" - depending on how you feel. STEP 11: Read your letter aloud to check for awkward or stilted phrasing. STEP 12: Finish your letter or envelope with a wax seal. Consider affixing a flower onto it or enclosing a poem. Tips & Warnings
Handwrite the letter in dark ink. Laser printing isn't very romantic.
Check out related sites for samples of letters already written.
Write a draft, set it aside briefly, then read it again. Tone the letter down if necessary.
Make sure your words are not open to misinterpretation, since writing lacks the verbal cues and inflections in speech that would otherwise guide the reader.
Consider other creative means of expressing your devotion: Scrawl confessions on a mirror, fan or piece of cloth. Fire off a quick succession of postcards.

i LOVE writing love letters (how ironic, tee-hee). I love the feeling that my boyfriends have gotten from it. I'm a very deep, poetic person...however, my poetry is crap. lol. So I write love letters, some that last about 2 pages. I usually write them when I can't go to sleep at night. But I love to write them. They make ME feel good about myself, and make my current boyfriend feel good about himself. ^_^

my advise whenever you write love letter just try to write like flow of water. Express on it whatever you want to express coz i believe when your heart falling in love you wont say something rude, right? the only thing in your mind only sweet and lovely things. So just tell whatever your heart want to say. I believe it will able to represent your heart feeling to the one who you loving for

In order to write a letter that is sincere you must write from your heart. I would suggest that you write down all the things about the person to whom you wish to write this letter that you like

My Dear ‘Anamica':
You must be surprised to receive this ‘Prem Patra' from me. Let me make my
‘Pahechan' to you as ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge'. Though I am an
‘Awaara', I am also your ‘Deewana'.
I am making you a ‘Prarthna' to enter my ‘Zindagi' as a ‘Priyatama'. Even
though I do not have any ‘Sambandh' with you, I still consider you as my
‘Dream Girl' with ‘Lal Dupatta Malmal Ka'. There are only ‘Do Raaste' left
for me. One is to get your love by ‘Tyag' or to go the ‘Rangeela' way.
Wouldn't you like to be ‘Mere Jeevan Saathi' as you are ‘Lakhon Mein Ek'? I
also hope that you will ‘Guide' me in ‘Bahar' as we are made for ‘Ek Duje Ke
Liye'.
We will live in ‘Naya Zamana' where we will have a ‘Suhana Safar'. In this
‘Himalay Ki God Mein', our ‘Bandhan' is going to tied with ‘Preet Ki Dor'. I
hope that we will have nothing but ‘Anand' in ‘Ye Dillagi'.
Aren't you bored of ‘Akele Hum Akele Tum' life? Let this ‘Baazigar' be your
‘Boy Friend' and we start ‘Pehli Mohabbat'. This ‘Chahat' is going to lead
to a ‘Milan' where you are going to call me everyday for ‘Aao Pyar Karen'.
Now, ‘Phir Kab Miloge' as ‘Tumse Accha Kaun Hein'? As you know my love is
‘Himalay Se Uncha' and hopefully our ‘Mulakat' will be ‘An Evening in Paris'.
‘Aa Gale Lag Jaa'!
‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun...?'
-- Prem Pujaari
Don’t take it serious, this is only for fun.

i recived a love letter that sayed like this:Let me start by saying that I thank God every night since I found you. You came into my life when everything seemed so dark but you provided the light to find my way. I've never been so certain of anything in my life like I am of us. You have totally changed my outlook in life and I thank you for that. I never thought that someone could love me like you do, but guess what? I love you that much too. I feel as if I'm walking over clouds just thinking about you. You make my life complete. I know you've said we could do foolish things while in love, but you know what? With you I wouldn't mind being a fool for the rest of my life. I love you so much and I know you love me too. I know that others looking into our relationship might think that we're saying too many foolish things too soon but they just don't know how we feel about each other. There's nothing foolish about the things I've told you, I meant every word I said. I LOVE YOU!!

Well, I usually make myself a tea, black tea and lay in my bed, so I start to write with no much intentions in mind, I let the word sundely apear, in conscience's fluxy. THe time to the tea gets a little colder its the time to write the letter. At beggining of the paper I talk about writing a letter, just to gain attetion and reliability from my reader, as lines goes down, i am getting more and more personal until the momment i reveal my feelings.
Good luck.

How to write a love letter:
Drink. a lot.
ok, when you get drunk, sit, and write everything you feel about the person. no lies, no less, no more. just put it out.
then send it. and read one time only, there's always the chance you throw it away after reading the second time. so before you do that, just send it.
it wont be the pretiest, but 'trully yours' will have a meaning. i say.
:)
