i don't think there are pine trees growing in the philippines. so usually philippine houses have fake pine trees as our christmas tree. i have never seen a pine tree and from your discussion it seems that real pine trees have nice smell.

I grew up with a fake tree. I really never knew why. My mom used to say it was because of allergies. I now understand that.
I tried a real tree one time. I couldn't believe the mess, not to mention the problems I had with my allergies. I have severe allergies but I wanted to try it.
With the fake tree all I have to worry about is the cats messing with it. No needles to vacumn up in July, no disposal issues, no sap on my hands for days, no watering, and no allergy problems.

My sister does that too. But she also has a husband to lug it in and out and chop the bottom to fit and such. With being a single mom I knew I couldn't do that myself so gave up on the real one. I'd prefer a real one for sure.. but I don't really mind the fake now.

We have a real tree. My husband only will get real trees, he hates fake trees with a passion. It would be easier for me to get a fake tree, but I would have to find a good one. But my husband says no no no. lol

All the years before this i have customed to go on the hill with my father and chop one Christmas Tree but this year, we have decided to make work more easier to buy an artificially one. Good luck and i hope that the next year i will have a natural Christmas Tree!

I used to use a real tree, but now I have changed to using a fake tree. I miss the lovely pine smell of the real tree, but they are so messy and the needles tend to get stuck in the carpet. It is also a problem trying to dispose of them when the Christmas season is over so for now, I will continue to use my fake tree. I must admit though, it looks rather nice.

I have a fake tree because I hate cleaning up the pine needles from the real tree. The only problem is now the fake tree is shedding its needles. It thinks it's a real tree.

I grew up with fake trees. My husband grew up with real trees. The first couple years that we were married we had a real tree. Then once we had kids and pets, we changed to a fake tree. It's much easier to deal with throughout the season and after.
