Is there a local school, community center, or YMCA where pool aerobics are held? Pool exercises are very popular and effective for people who are unable to exercise aerobically on a treadmill or by walking. You might also consider an eliptical machine or a stationary bicycle, as these would put less pressure on your feet.
I'm sure that your doctor has instructed you to follow a lower-calorie diet in addition to exercising. It's also important to drink lots of water; among other things, water helps to lubricate the joints and muscles, decreasing some of the soreness caused by exercise.

You can loose weight without exercise. Just drink 8 glasses of water, to flush you, don't snack, and increase fruits and veggies. Good luck dear.
