It surely is wrong. If everybody would copy how could they earn money to produce other movies?

Many times you buy DVDs after you've copied them because I think everybody likes to have original DVD of their favorite movies. I think are not DVDs that give money to produce other movie but Cinema and sponsor.

What you say does make sense. However, does it make sense for a person to buy multiple copies of their favorite cd so that they have one for their office, one for their car, one for their stereo? ;) If you've already paid money to buy a copy.. you've already shown you don't mind supporting an artist for their hard work.. then what is the problem with making your own second copy for your own private use?

In South Africa its against the law, but hey it seems that everybody is doing it. We also get these sindicates that copies and resells the DVD at street markets and dodgy parts of cities. Its wrong if you are selling it, if its for personal use, say to transfer the mobie to your computer and store it on a hard drive then I guess its fine!

I think if you are copying it to give out to others, or to sell it, that is wrong. However, if you copy it so that you can have a spare for in the car- like if you make a copy of your favorite CD so that you can keep it in your car's cd player, I don't see what the problem is.

well it not a black and white thing...... its rather a grey area........ if one has bought one and plans to copy it for safety, then i think it is right.
