Have you known someone to have an alzheimer's disease?

It causes changes or deterioration in some certain areas of the brain that controls intelligence, memory, language and behavior. What cause's this and it's symptoms? Can we cure it.. Can we prevent it?

i don't know if we can cure it or prevent it but my grandad was very ill in hospital a while back and he forgot who his own grandson was and was shouting at him to get out of his room and he was swearing alot. it was actually quite scary because id never sen him like that but i just found out the name from what you described the disease as nobody would tell me the name.

Yeah! It's scary and freaky too. Heard someone that deposited a large amount on a bank and forgot about it, the patient was the only who has the access to the account. They never knew how to retrieve the money, which could be used for the patients medications.
