Did the french had a chance to shoot bin laden?

There is a report that french soldiers had two chances to shoot down osama, but didn't get approval from the americans.
Can you believe this?

It's news from a french broadcasting company: Planete. It's said that they could have shot him in 2003 and in 2004. The french department of defence, is denying this story. Planete will be broadcasting this in the thirs month of next year.
Very strange to wait with such astonishing news.

From what I understand, the french want nothing to do with the american war aimed at osama. I doubt they would even ask America. Someone is just trying to stir up trouble I think.

I am sure that is not true. The americans would have taken any chance they can get to shoot Bin Laden
