Doctors As DRUG DEALERS ?????

Lately in the news physicians are losing their license to practice medicine because they are overprescribing pain medications to patients that are becoming addicted and dying. Why do doctors do this? They are no bettere then street level dealers, are they being compensated by the pharmaceutical companies? Prescription drugs of abuse is the major cause of death in the U.S. Doctors prescribing drugs without merrit leads to these potentially deadly drugs on the streets and in the hands of our kids. What can be done to stop this epidemic?
