To spank or not spank you kids?????

I think we should spank a child only when its absolutely necessary..otherwise kids grow up to be very very stubborn. My niece has become like that now..she is 4 and has been spoilt a lot by her dad and grandparents. Her mom on the other hand knows when she should spank her. But sometiems she can't as her inlaws object so now her daughter is very stubborn. She doesnt do her homework and she doesnt want to take private lessons too. It's very difficult when kids don't listen with plain words. My bro got spanked a lot when he did wrong things, he was very stubborn back then.

Spanking is not an option to me. It is not right. It will cause trauma to the child

I spank sometimes when they abuse.
