Where do you go to "get away" from it all?

Is it somewhere inside your home, the bathroom for a hot bath or the bedroom to curl up with a good book or some ice cream? is your sanctuary a favourite walk or a secret fishing hole? Where do you go to regain yourself when the world's a little too much?

I find there are a few different places & things I do to just get away from it all. When life gets really busy & overwhelming I like to escape to the bathroom & run a bubblebath for myself. I have a bubblebath right now that has a very relaxing scent to it and it does the trick every time! I also like to get away from it all by taking a walk outside with my puppy or even going bigger than that and going on vacation for a week or so somewhere warm.
I love being able to soak away my worries with good old scented bubblebath. I live where I wish I could have more but usually once a day is plenty around this place. I used to remember when I lived with my other half he was renting an apartment. At that place I was able to have more than a single bath and I enjoyed the fact that whenever I needed or wanted to take one I could. There were times where I was taking upwards of three to four baths a day because my body was telling me that I needed one of those.
I also like to take my puppy for a walk if I need to get out and away from my problems for a little while. She's a blast to walk but after a while it seems like she's the one taking you for a walk. I love watching her walk around and sniff everything just because it means she's excited and having fun. She's curious by nature and the only time I don't let her sniff is if it's a garbage can or if she's trying to sniff something inside a large puddle. I will do my best to steer her clear of those areas because I don't want her getting sick.
I've also had the idea of going to a few different places on a trip to get away from everyday life and relax. I would go to Saskatchewan, the province I used to live in when I was a child. I would visit that place because I remember it as being a very quiet and peaceful place where you can really just unwind and there's nothing there to stress you out. That and it's full of memories for me that would make my stay even more enjoyable. I could look back on some great memories and gain some peace of mind through that.
If I was to pick a place that was not nearby to go to for a relaxing time I would choose Paris. I've always seen that city on television or in the movies and they make it look so beautiful I want to experience that city firsthand. I want to walk down those streets & visit the museums that Paris is famous for. I want to have a picnic in a city park in downtown Paris and listen to some distinctively French music.
So, in conclusion, I would do any of these examples above to try to get away from it all and just recharge my batteries. If I could have it anyway I wanted I would most likely go to Saskatchewan to get away from my everyday life but even just having a hot bath and some snuggle time with my other half works just as well.
Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

My little haven, my escape is the gym, believe it or not, its a place where I can get rid of my excess stress, frustration and anger, it's a place where I can be myself, have no interuptions and I can do what I want to do yes me, without anyone saying differently. I can run, I can pump iron and I can socialize with the friendly people there. I can also relax in the sauna cabin afterwards. It revitalizes me and makes me feel real good.

I go to Disney World a few times a year to escape the madness of everyday life and we like to go camping in the warmer months to get away from all the stress
