Long-distance breakups: easier or harder?

My only long distance relation ship was extremely hard to break up with. We cared alot for each other.. yet we fought all the time because we were not sure what each other were doing all the time when we were not talking. Our two years together went alot like this.. Happy.. fight.. break up.. make up... happy... fight.. etc etc Eventually after about 30 times of breaking up we really ended it. To this day I still chat with him.. But what I think was the hardest part of breaking up with him was that I would see him online everyday all day.. therefore we would talk. say sweet things and get back together. I had to block him for a few months till I was finally over everything.
