So you have strange phobias?

Ok we all have them, that strange hardly never heard of phobias. I’m not talking about fear of spiders, high places things like that, but uncommon fears. One of many is, I can’t handle it when I’m held too long. Even a loving hug after a few seconds sends me into this hysterical gasping and choking as if I am smothering. I do the same thing if someone holds both my hands too tight. Then my husbands is funny, he has a fear of taking out the garbage! He can't stand picking up a tide full bag. He saids it’s just something about it makes his skin crawl. So what’s yours??

Yep, that is one of mine. Silly, I will actually lose my breath and choke if someone holds my hands/wrists an won't let me go.

I'm terrified that I'll be swallowed by a whale. Even when I'm nowhere near the ocean. It's insane and random and I don't know how I got it, but even just seeing a big whale will make me freak out. But it has to be a big one, like a blue whale or a sperm whale.

I guess this is a phobia... I wont walk across a grate in the sidewalk, I have to go around it. I'm not really sure why, but I just hate to walk over them. They have a big bridge around here that they close down one day a year to people can walk across it and it has grates that you can't walk around. That was very hard for me the first time I did it - my family laughed at me. Now they cover the grates. I like that better.

one of my biggest phobias is hair. any kind of hair. long hair short hair hair from the head or hair from you know where. i hate hair to touch me. i use on side of my bath towel for my body and the other side for my hair. and if i find a hair from down there then i just get all disgusted and cringe. i dont know why i hate hair so much. especially if the hair is wet and you have to try hard to get it off of you.

Maybe I have a few silly things but it's just dislike not phobia, what I think is strange and near phobia is that I really can't stand looking at shaving blades, I have to hide them and never let them in a visible place, strange I never cut my fingers or something like that but when i look at it I feel like it is dangerous and should not be there :)

I know you said fears other than uncommon, but mine is fairly common. Fear of heights. But what is strange, I had no phobias until about 2 years ago. They seem to have come on with age?! (yes, my husband and friends are getting a lot of mileage out of that fact!) I also have a fear of being trapped in an elevator, which also came on about two years ago.
