The best Hollywood ending ever!!

I don't know about the 'best Hollywood' ending but 'Shawshank' has an almost perfect ending in most Hollywood movie I'd seen. The ending effectively 'seal' the deep friendship that both protagonist, Red and Andy has for each other by showing them hugging against a backdrop of the oh-so-blue Pacific, which kind-of represent the freedom of hope that this movie is all about-Friendship and Hope. Tears ran down every time I watched that scene.

I love the Shawshank Redemption. I like the end of Bull Durham as well, another Robbins movie.

ya man thats true usually hollywood movies lack good stories this ones a good sotry reated in a very good way and the clima x is superb

It hase a good ending but not the best

Yeah! I like the ending too. There are so many movies where the ending is left to viewer's discretion. This movie does justice for the time spent and interest taken to watch a good movie. So, I would word the ending good than best.

I definitely agree -- this movie is one of all all-time favorites. If it's on TV and I happen to see it, I can never change the channel and end up watching the whole thing.

It is one of the best and a classic movie in its own right . But one could see the ending from a distance .. Whatsay ??
