help! my daughter hates me!!! :(

Hi, I have a 2yr old baby girl who seems to hate me. She doesn't want to hug nor kiss me. She would rather have her grandmother than me. You see, I just gave birth to a baby boy 2 months ago. But this attitude started just this week and its depressing! help!

Keep patient with her, she's just two, still a baby. You changed her world, a lot to get use to for her, now she shares Mommy. Just keep loving her and she will be OK. My oldest did that to me as well, she was 2.5 when I had her sissy. Get her involved with you and the new baby. Have her get things for you for the baby. Make sure when the baby is napping you give her plenty of love and attention. She will be OK

I try to be with her always, i try to play with her and give her toys for a simple kiss... she will play with me at first but will turn her back after a few minutes.

Welcome to the world of being a mom to an independent child. She is finding her own abilities and feels she can do things on her own just as well as without mom. i am sure there is some jealousy of the new baby there as well.

she loves the baby, in fact she wants to be with her baby brother always. I know that she's just a baby, but it still hurts...
