I recently bought my grandson a toy which sings a night-night song. It is a little blue penquen. The song sounded really sweet. Well, was I in for a surprise. My grandson is 16 months old and fairly advanced for his age. He loves music and dances to it. We took this thing out of the box and he seemed excited. When he pushed the button and the penquen began to sing, he sat down on the floor and cried like his heart was broken. We took it away, and he stopped crying and went on playing. We tried it about 3 more times and the same thing occured. We were shocked. He is not afraid of it, but he acts like the song breaks his heart. I took the thing back to the store. If it was going to make him that sad we dont need it. Have you ever heard of a child reacting this way?

When I was little I use to react to music like that. I think it's normal to become a bit emotional when listening to music.
