Parties. How to get invited...

As the title of this discussion shows, I've never actually been to a real party. I'm 18 years old, don't drink or smoke, and nobody has ever taken me to any kind of gathering with kids my age. I'm just wondering, is there a certain trick to it, or is it something that's just natural in lots of people?

I think being in a party doesnt mean you have to drink and have nonsense chit chats with the kids. Maybe you can join a community based on your interest. Let's say you like sport. Maybe you can join sport lover community? It usually holds gathering among the members which is good to add more friends, I suppose.

Going to a party or getting invited to a party is also about personality and selection of the kind of friends. If you are happy of yourself, with great confidence, most likely you'll get invited. I also help if you have a sets of friends who love to go to a parties.
