do you make it a point to check your spelling and grammar when posting?

It's a must for me. I just have to, you know. And not just in Mylot but in my blog and other forums as well.

i don't see errors as "errors", by reading it twice or thrice, i then understand what they mean. as long as you know the basics of grammar, you'll be okay. try to understand that not all users are grammatically experts. like me, i'm not an expert in grammars, i just use my analytical skills and try to post reasonable and tolerable responses, just for the readers to understand what i meant. :-)

True, we don't usually understand the grammar but we understand what they want to say.

that's true. I do that most of the time. I'm not really good in making sentence structures but I do my best to make one.

Yes I do, I try my best to keep my posts as well as discussions error-free...but a few just creep in somehow!:) The ones which have errors are mostly typo errors. Ya I agree, a lot many posts here don't make sense because they are grammatically incorrect.

A lot of MyLot users posts doesn't make sense due to their incorrect grammar but then again I understand them because a lot of users here doesn't use english as their main language. I do make a lot of errors too.

I guess i am not that good in grammar too, however i am still on the process of improving it by giving and trying my best to post using carefully constructing my sentences. It was tough and hard to create good sentences for me since English is not my native tongue, not even my favorite subject in school during schooldays. So whenever i find errors from other mylotter, i don't have the right to correct them, besides i think it is a part of rudeness to correct them since i don't know them well, even the intention might be good they might misinterpret me if i do that. Just let those errors be, let's make friends.

yes i do and im trying but still after posting it and when i read it again some of my spelling was incorrect but i guess it's ok not really a big deal as long as every word or sentences in your discussions you wrote it from your heart.

I am human, so I make mistakes too, but I try my best to keep my spelling and grammar correct. In fact, before I saw your post, I created my own asking how people feel about spelling and grammar. I understand that English is not everyones first language, but if it is hard to figure out the point of the post, then it does diminish the post.

I make a serious effort to watch it, though I know I probably don't catch everything.

I don't care about my grammar. I think I am not soo bad in grammar. As long as I can post and respond to a discussion that's what matter to me. I don't check and very fussy on my grammar or if my sentence was correctly structured. I am not a native speaker. I think those who should be ashamed are those people who can't spell and are not gramatically correct when that is their native language like the Americans.

Though English proficiency is not an issue here in myLot (as stated in the do's/dont's), and i too isn't that much proficient either, i try to make it a point that my post is grammatically correct and free of spelling errors. I sometimes add a comment if i have some typographical errors in my posts. I feel that it will help enhance my writing skills and dicipline.
