Have you played civil war for ps2 or other console?

I have seen commercials for the Civil war game and I want to play on the ps2... I love the civil war era and I cant find it at blockbuster to rent on my pass. i dont want to buy it without trying it first. Anyone played? Is it as good as it looks. Does it compare to other war games. I usually stick with games like silent hill and res evil or scarface was a good one. I want to play dang it.
