I was driving along in Orlando, Florida yesterday when I saw a strange site on the side of the road. It looked as if there was some kind of commotion and as I got closer I saw a man dressesd as an elf on the side of the road with some sort of gun in his hand.
It turns out the the Orange County Florida Sherriff's department thought it would be a good idea to set up a speed trap and dress officers as elves and point the speed gun at people and pull them over if they were speeding.
I couldn't believe this. I was shocked. I couldn't believe the nerve of these guys and wondered whose idea it was. First of I pulled myself over and decided to get out of the car and watch.
You should have seen how joyful these idiot officers were as they pulled people over. They were practically mocking the public.
If I were pulled over by some wild looking elf waving what looked like a gun, I would have just run him over for fear of my own safety. There was no immediate evidence that this was a cop and the other officers were hiding.
Any motorist would be shocked by the situation and not now how to react.
I think the Orange County Sherriffs departed is run by idiots. I called my friend who works on the news and he told me that last week they had one of this idiots dressed like the grinch.
I know police have a tough job and deserve respect but this just plain stupid.
Do you think the police should be allowed to do this?

thanks.
I try to respect police officers, but every time I have had opportunity to interact with them over my life they have all been jerks.
They are not approachable, especially if they are eating.
I am a white guy. I cannot imagine what it would be like if I was a minority of any kind. Maybe I dislike them and challange their stupidity because I have black friends who would be afraid to talk to a cop. They fear them and I never understood why. They told me that I was white and could never understand
