What are your views of internet gaming? Is there a danger of addiction?

I play pogo games...but I can walk away from them...My niece was playing on the poker sites..lost lots of money..gambling became a big addiction for her in general. So I guess if you are addicted to begin with yes...I will not gamle for money in the casino..certainetly won't do it on line..

Yes, we have to learn to walk away... I know of a friend who plays runescape and got addicted.... She went into it because she wants to understand why her sons like the games and got addicted to it. Her sons are not addicted to it though.

That's a lesson for me too. It's possible for people of all ages to be addicted to gaming, not just the teens and young people.

That's a shame to hear, I could never gamble myself like that, I'd be to terrified on the similiar happening so I've just not bothered with it. Online makes it easier than ever, I believe it's not allowed in America anymore? I remember our Gambling companies were all complaining, fearing the worst etc.

Essentially any activity you enjoy is addictive, although naturally I find online-gaming very addictive! It’s much more enjoyable than playing on your own.

i play an internet game called pimpstreet and i love it it is free to join and you only have to spend money if you want to i choose not to and i think i still have as much fun as the people that choose to spend money on it i think like any other thing in the world it is possible to get addicited to it but it not the game that causes it it is the person

Agree with you 1alyssa, it take discipline and self control to know when to stop be it in gaming, gambling of for that matter even drinking and smoking. Thanks for your point.
