oh, yes, of course. in the first place, demons were once angels themselves, before they became power-hungry and chose the path of evil instead. i believe angels are more powerful than demons --- in the end, the good will triumph over evil.

We know so little about angels. I just hope that the media would tend to publicize more angels than demons. The video games and movies are mostly all about demons and such possessions.

I believe angel are here to protest us from the demons. So I guess they do have powers.

In the games you are just entertained, nothing more. Who cares there about your immortal soul ?? They just want your money, not to teach you anything real or helpful for your life.
The peoples today live in a consumers-society not a wisdom-oriented society. The new idols are whatever is sparking, coloured or tasteful - LOL ...

Yorgaki I could not see the relevance of your reply. The discussion is all about Angels and demons. What did you mean by "Who cares about your immortal soul"? I hope that the movies and other media would try to uplift the image of angels and not over promote the demons. In video games I see a lot of demonic figures. Only a few angel like figures.

Truthfully, the picture of angels that you see commercialized today I don't really think do very well as far depicting them. In the Bible it seems as if they have many functions: very musically inclined, messengers, givers of comfort, killers. Have you ever noticed that when there was a point that the Lord needed to get across (violently), it was an Angel that was dispatched to do the slaying. They seem to be able to take on many forms.

By the way... demons are just fallen angels that followed Lucifer (the son of the morning, one of God's favored angels, until Lucifer let his pride get in the way.)

yeah thats what i also read. there are angels that has musical instruments in their body. the cherubs ( a type of angel) has 4 faces and etc. so, what you kight be seeing on pictures is not the real description of angels. but surely angels do have wings. i think its 2 pairs or 3 pairs but the first pair is used to cover their face because they cannot bear to see God's glory

Yes! If they really exists! They got powers that too equal in the strength also. The only difference is Angels has constructive powers and demons got destruction powers. Both makes Zero to the world.

It maybe so. So does it mean that angels can possess people too? Why do I feel that the presence of demons are more overpowering than the angels. Are the number of demons greater than the devils?

YES...definately...i always believed that angels have powers and are very very much more powerful than demons...In chinese, there's a saying, evil never wins good...
What i think is...Angels powers are used for good purposes unlike demons...and the more good deeds they do, the more powerful they will be...as for demon's, the opposite apply...the more evil they do, the more powerful they will get...BUT if an angel who did lesser good deeds engage in a battle with a demon who did lots of evil, the angel may lose out...However, if the angel's mind is filled with caring, loving thoughts, the angel will never be defeated...
I believe everyone hopes that the good will win the evil...and that's something i believe most in...

Initially demons has very strong powers with lots of initiation to demoralise the people. Finally they got thrown out by the angels with intelligence and powers in order to make victory over evil by good.

Of course Angels have powers, they are just more subtle. You never know when you might see an Angel on the street. Normally they are working a specific task set upon them. It seems the demons actually like the publicity. Causes more commotion.

I think so. as far as i know demons are actually angels. fallen angels. so as far is power is concerned they have the same, i think. its just that demons are on the bad side. i think thats the reason why there is no end to the battle between good and evil.

I also think the same way that angels and demons have the same power, the point is that they just use them in different ways. The conflict between good and evil is really a fact and I guess we are in the middle of it.

Maybe you don't know enough about them because you don't know much about the christian faith. The best way to find answers is to ask in the place where the truth can be received. You could ask a priest about that and he could give you a lot of good answers and proofs, too.

This is the reason why I posted this discussion because I do not have knowledge about these creatures. In my attempt to learn more about them I was hoping that people like you would respond based on the discussion by telling us something about angels and not tell us to stop posting and go to a priest. I still rated you as a positive because it is so nice to see such arrogance. I don't see much of it here. Anyway, the next time maybe you could tell us some things about the topic. You seem to know more about the Catholic faith than me. I studied in a Catholic school but they did not teach us what powers did the angels have.

I believe that angels have powers of their own and use it when it is needed the most. In movies, demons are more highly represented, I think, because they attract a larger audience. Angels "possess" people in the religious sense and usually if you pay more attention to the movies with demons as the star, you would see that there is almost always a good demon...the one trying to defend the world of the bad one. Just because in movies demons are portrayed, doesn't mean that their isn't an angel in site. Angels are always around using their powers or blessings...but just like people believe in demons, they need people to believe in them.

I believe that angels have more powers over the evil forces of the demons. Good and evil, well good wins. God is powerful. Remember that satan is a fallen angel. He was thrown out of the kingdom.

Yes, Angels have the same powers or more as Demons. They however will not interfere unlessed asked to other than the guardian Angels who are assigned to protect. I thank Spirit for my guardian angels, as I have survived alot - DNatureofDTrain

Angels have MORE (not SAME !!) powers than the demons. They can predict the future (if God gives them such power), can help us, can make miracles, because they are in the light and power of God not in the darkness of their bad character and will as are the demons.

i was able to make a paper about angels before. in the bible i found an answer to my questions. i was able to complete this research paper but unfortunately, my professor got the paper and wasnt able to return it back to me. well as for your question angels dont have any power BUT they are given by God with a lot of gifts. they are created not to fight against demons but for the purpose of worshiping God (nonstop) in heaven. they are truly gifted by God really more than what the devil could do i think so.

So, you believe that the angels are ordered by God to be able to do things. They can't decide on their own? How did you come up on this idea?
