Society teaches us that boys dont cry... or at least that they shouldnt. I dont remember seeing my dad cry or past beaus shedding tears.
So what does it take to get a man to tear up? Do you hide your tears or are you truly emotionally detached?

Guys can cry, I'm a guy and I know it's acceptable, but only in extreme situations, like a family member dying or close to it. Other then that, realistically if a guy cries he will be labeled as "soft" "gay" and everything else in the book. It's sad, but we're taught to be tough, and showing weakness is a sign of "softness" or being "like a girl".

I think men are taught to not acknowledge their feelings when they are fairly young. This in turn makes us less vulnerable to crying... It's weird I really can't remember the last time I cried! I think it was when I broke my arm. Sad part is I rescently broke up with my girlfriend of two years and didn't shed a tear. Why is this? I think it may be because men turn tears into anger! I definately was more mad than I was sad... I'm still not completely over her, but I still am mad at her at the same time!
