The way people are these days

I am really frustrated with the way some people are towards other people sometimes. Its the Christmas season and it seems like everyone is being a lot more friendly, generous and helpful but why does it take a holiday or a catastrophe for people to treat eachother right? One of the things that really set me off was one day when my sister was doing a favor for my mom. My mom's dogs had escaped from the backyard and must of ran into a skunk on their adventure. When they came back home they stunk really really bad. So my mom needed my sister to take them to get a bath at the pet store. Well my sister took one at a time since they are so big a dont listen very well. When she had the bigger one on a leash in the parking lot he wrapped the leash around her leg or something causing her to fall and break her leg. She was by herself and I guess in so much pain she sat on the ground crying and could not get up. There were a lot of people coming in and out of the stores by her and not one person stopped to help. I just couldnt believe it. So what kind of experiences have you had or what do you think about the way we treat eachother?

That's horrible. I live in a small town and most people will still help you here if you need it. Of course they may talk about you too since its kind of gossipy in small towns.
I do know this lady though who was at a nearby city and passed out at the mall from low blood sugar in the restroom and nobody would help her.

Yeah my boyfriend is from a small town where everyone knows eachother and it seems so much better than the city except for never having anything to do!

i think that the frienship dates necesary creates a contrast with the ordinary days. Also, that days appears to remember us like us. What we do in ordinary days (if are ordinary) doesn't need a particular celebration..
